NOTE:
Fourth grade is in need of paper towels for science and tissues for all the runny
noses we are experiencing If you can help us out we would be so grateful.
MATH
This week we will be multiplying a 4-digit number by a 1-digit
number and a 2-digit number by a 2-digit number. We will be playing games and solving word
problems involving these skills. Since we will be doing multiplication of
larger numbers intensive practice of multiplication facts each evening is very
important.
SCIENCE
We will begin our magnetism and electricity
unit. There will be awesome
demonstrations with magnets which will spark your kid’s sense of wonder.

given a prompt. They will practice writing introductory paragraphs that contain
a hook, general sentence, topic sentence, and 3-point sentence.

help them prepare.

positive affect on characters in her town. You are welcome to join us for
Wednesday reading groups.

HISTORY
We
will begin our unit on the Middle Ages starting with the fall of the Roman
Empire. We will cover chapters 1-2 in
our history book. This unit is fun. Every year fourth grade students love
