Good morning dear families. Crazy times, right? I'm sure you are staying apprised of all the information as it is passed down from Great Hearts and Ms. Pyper. I'm just writing a quick blog to let you know that your fourth grade team is working on a packet for next week to keep the kids busy and on track with their learning. Stay tuned for more information on that in my next post.

That's all I really wanted to say, but as long as I'm in here, let me give you a quick update on my break, as it was. (For those not interested, this is where you log off).

So, my father-in-law's 90th birthday party was a huge success! We had 60 guests and the weather and ambiance were perfect! I'm so happy we had it scheduled when we did, otherwise we would have had to cancel it! It was a lovely family reunion. That party was on the first Saturday of the break. Then, Sunday just the family came back and we began with a brunch and ended with dinner, just hanging out all day with Dave's brothers and sisters and their kids. We had guests stay with us until Thursday afternoon, so I was pretty much in hosting mode all week! On Tuesday, I had a manipulation of my shoulder to help break up the painful adhesions that had formed. Immediately following, I began physical therapy to try to maintain the mobility. It was all fairly successful, I am happy to say! Tell the kids that I can move my arm again! I have been having to do stretches every hour to make sure the adhesions do not form again. One more week of that and I'll be good to go!

As you can see, it was not really a break for me; so, on Friday when I was at therapy I said that I could really use another week. Then I met Mrs. Scott at school for some lesson planning, when we got the email of the closure. So, while I'm happy for a chance to actually get some rest and other things done, I am missing the kiddos. Hope you are all well and are enjoying some extra time with family. Play some games, build some puzzles, and read some books!

I'll be back online Friday or Saturday with directions about the packets we are making.
