Good morning dear families! I hope everyone is well and that you are enjoying some rare quality time with your children...lots of it! I have had my own children around, of course, and even the grown ups come by every now and then to visit. We have enjoyed puzzles and games and many meals together. Today, my own daughter will begin her packet of school work from Chandler Prep. I have had a good laugh at the many comments I've heard about parents teaching their kiddos at home. Now you will know and appreciate what I was doing for twelve years when I was a home educator! I look back fondly at that time I had with my kids. It was a great experience for me, and I hope you find it equally rewarding. Of course, there are days when you want to pull your hair out, but overall, I really enjoyed it.

As Ms. Pyper's email explained, the packets are available. I just wanted to explain something about the quantity of pages. When we were instructed to create these packets, it was recommended that we use Galileo to generate materials that addressed the standards that our kids were struggling with. We did this, but afterward realized that sometimes there's only one problem per page, because it's really meant to be a computer based program, with one problem per slide. In any case, we apologize for the quantity of pages and wanted to reassure you that this week, we will do better. A lot of the material that we are preparing will be reading assignments that can be accessed online, so those materials will not need to be printed, if your child can get online at home. After that, we will be moving to Google Classroom to teach our classes. I'm not sure how it all works, but we are learning! If there are questions with regard to this week's packet or assignments, please do not hesitate to email your child's teacher. We do not yet know how we will be getting these packets back from you, but just hold onto their work until we figure out that piece to the puzzle. Only the assignment portion of the packets need to be returned, not the pages that say "Resource" at the top.

Please know that we miss the children terribly! As much as you may like to send them to us, we wish we were in the classroom with them! Give them our love and convey that message to them, please. Have a great week!
