Greetings,

This has been a week full of energy.  The kids have been excited all week with the weather cooling down they are loving running around and playing at recess and the the Halloween holiday this week-end added its own energy.  It seemed like perhaps some of the kids may have gotten into the candy a bit early this week as well.  I hope you all had a fun and safe holiday.  Saturday morning bright and early I was up in north Phoenix at the CPA Cross Country Meet to watch my grandson run.  It was a great start to the week end as it was a lovely day, my grandson ran hard and came in at the front of the pack. It was also fun to connect with past students and parents.  I spent the evening with my grandkids hanging out in our cul-de-sac, handing out candy, roasting marshmallows and playing games with the neighbors.

Here is a look at the week of Nov. 2nd.

Language Arts:  First of all keep your eyes open for more information about the upcoming Robin Hood Parties.  We hope to meet via zoom with our class liaisons this week, Wed. Nov. 4th at 3:00 pm.  Look for more information on how you can help us make this a fun event for the students.

We will be reading Robin Hood Chs. 14 - 18.  In grammar we will be looking at narrative point of view and learning about plural and possessive nouns. We will do two Writing With Ease summaries and dictations.

History:  We will explore the daily life of serfs in the feudal system.  We will continue to work on our Medieval Lap Book.

Science:  This week we will begin a new unit on Meteorology.  This week we will concentrate on the water cycle and condensation.

Progress reports for students falling below a C average in any class will come out after November 9th.

Thank you for the honor of working with your amazing children and the joy that it brings us each day.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kielmeyer
