Can you believe we're in the last week of quarter 2? I know I can't. This final week is packed with fun and finishing up the semester strong, but I can't help keeping my mind on what happens next, as my family leaves for Paris on the 21st! This is the first time we've spent the holidays elsewhere. I'm ready to document every moment!
Let’s take a look at this week:
Winter Project Final Typed Drafts are due Monday, 12/16. Winter Project Dioramas or Poster Boards will be turned in with their presentations on the first few days back from break during Project Week!
Language Arts: Most Robin Hood Essays are complete, but some will need to be finished early this week. Our Robin Hood party will be Thursday, 12/19. We'll finish the half day with a feast! If you haven't signed up yet and have your fingerprint clearance, please consider doing so.
Spalding: We will continue on with our next 30 Spalding words.
Poetry: Students will recite their poems Monday and can start working on next quarter's poem, Paul Revere's Ride.
History: We'll do a short unit on China this week, studying Dynasties and the Hidden Army.
Science: This week we'll look at natural resources and learn which ones are renewable or nonrenewable.
Math: As we finish up our unit on conversions on Monday, we'll have a Unit 5 Test on Wednesday. You child should bring home their 4A math workbook and textbook. They'll need their 4B workbook and textbook to start the new year.
We look forward to another great week and a strong end to 2nd quarter.
Happy Holidays,
Kristen Scott
