Greetings,
We are quickly approaching the Thanksgiving holiday, so I want to start by wishing you all a happy Thanksgiving. I always enjoy this time of year when we can spend time with family, focusing on what is important in life and giving thanks for it. My three girls are coming home from CT, CO, and CA to be with our family and we are going to my sister-in-law's on turkey day.
Upcoming Week of Nov 23 & 24
Language Arts: Students have been hard at work writing evidence on whether or not Robin Hood is a hero. They will complete their persuasive essays and have a grammar test on Tuesday.
Science: Students will explore how the sun’s energy moves through our atmosphere and gets transferred to Earth.
Math: We continue working with operations and fractions
History: We study one of King Henry II’s closest friends, Thomas Beckett who became Archbishop of Canterbury.
On Tuesday, Nov 24th, in-person students will enjoy a class “thankful party” with activities and treats. Check for individual class communication regarding food requests/sign ups.

3 days On-Line (Nov 30 - Dec 2)
All students will be on-line Nov 30th - Dec 2nd. Everyone (current in-person and Distance) will use their OLD Google Classrooms from quarter 1. If your student does not have access, they will be invited by Monday, Nov 23rd. The reason for this, is so homeroom teachers can easily work with their 30 students. If your child needs a safe place at Archway to attend online classes for Nov 30-Dec 3, contact Miss Pyper. If your student needs a Chromebook, also contact Miss Pyper.

This year’s celebrations will be very different from any we have experienced before with the pandemic in mind. We ask that you remain careful in your family’s general social interactions in order to protect not only your own health, but the health of the Archway community. If you have any questions about the information contained in this blog, please don’t hesitate to ask us. Our fourth-grade team wishes you a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend.
We are grateful for you!!!
