12/6/2020

 Greetings,

I hope you all had a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday.  I am so thankful for each and everyone of you.  What a blessing and privilege to daily work with your amazing children.   Our Thanksgiving was a bit smaller than expected due to keeping everyone safe, but thankfully we are all well at this point.  We have just 10 more days left of quarter 2.  That means only 8 more days in person and then the last two days of the quarter (Dec. 17th and 18th) will be half days on-line.

Upcoming Week of Dec. 7th - 11th

Language Arts: Students will continue working on AZ Merit practice with literature.  Our grammar lessons will be working with quotation marks.  Students need to recite all of the Norman and Saxon poem by this Friday, Dec. 11th.  Students can take home their Robin Hood book by the end of the week and can begin to find and have ready their Harp and Laurel poetry book.

Science: Students will continue our study of meteorology with a focus on what influences weather and climate and the difference between the two.  Having students listen to weather reports or reading them in the newspaper would be a great warm up activity.  The meteorology end of unit review will be next week and spirals will be collected so students need to make sure their spiral is complete.

Math: We continue working with operations and fractions.  Students could make sure they have ready for third quarter their 4B math textbook and workbook.

History: We will finish the Middle Ages history text by studying the Hundred Years War, Joan of Arc, and the Black Death.  The Middle Ages test will be next week.

This is a wonderful party that will be held Wed, Dec 16th. Everyone can contribute so please look through the sign-up to see where you can help!!! The link is here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0948a8a829abfd0-robin
